JOB DESCRIPTION

Role and Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly, semi-annual, and/or annual inspections and preventative maintenance services on fire extinguishers
  • Responsible for inspecting, testing, and servicing emergency/exit lighting
  • Perform inspections, installations, and repairs on fire suppression and kitchen hood systems
  • Complete all reports on our electronic inspection reports
  • Develop long term relationships with customers and maintain customer retention
  • Represent the company in a professional manor
  • Perform other duties as directed
  • Modify, clean, and maintain pipe systems, units, fittings, and related machines and equipment, following specifications and using hand and power tools.
  • Perform other duties as directed.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • High school diploma/ GED
  • Organizational skills are essential

Preferred Skills

  • Fire suppression experience, especially with fire suppression systems and/or fire extinguishers
  • Experience in the fire protection industry
  • Familiar with NFPA codes and standards
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience
  • MA and VT Certifications for Suppression could be considered for additional pay

Apprentice Pipe Fitter

JOB DESCRIPTION

Role and Responsibilities

Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains fire sprinkler pipe systems, pipe supports, valves and related equipment for fire sprinkler systems. Position specific details:

  • Cut, thread, and install steel or plastic pipe to specifications, using tools such as saws, wrenches, and pipe threaders.
  • Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment, according to specifications, by cementing, soldering, and threading joints.
  • Attach pipes to walls, structures and fixtures using brackets, clamps, tools.
  • Inspect, examine, and test installed systems and pipe lines, using pressure gauge, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods.
  • Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading.
  • Lay out of pipe systems, supports, and related equipment, following blueprints.
  • Cut and bore holes in structures, such as bulkheads, decks, walls, and mains, prior to pipe installation, using hand and power tools.
  • Modify, clean, and maintain pipe systems, units, fittings, and related machines and equipment, following specifications and using hand and power tools.
  • Perform other duties as directed.

Position Requirements:

Individuals who hold good work ethic and are mechanically inclined are encouraged to apply. Must be able to read a tape measure, carry heavy pipe and use heavy tools.


Education Requirements:

High school diploma or GED. On the job training is provided.
